Fungi … over 70 recorded so far from two visits with Dick Alder of the West Weald Fungus Recording Group.
We are amazed that there are so many which include 11 of special interest . Photos show Fly Agaric – red with white spots (especially for the Brownies), and the Four-rayed Earthstar, which is rare.
We must remind Leaders to make sure that the girls only look and NEVER touch or prod, as fungi can be poisonous or cause irritation to skin or eyes.
What a lovely place Faurefold is full of surprises!
Best wishes – ROO
